A gold brocaded silk weaving with flowers and cranes. Late Ming, most likely Wanli, ca. 1600. Dim.: WxL 30 x 76 cm (weaving). Mounted on brown cotton on foam board. There's no selvage left. A very colourful weaving with eight different hues. The flowers and leaves are bordered with flat gold but the gold has worn off. A fragment of good size in general good condition.
