A small double handled jar. Machang phase of the Gansu-Qinghai Majiayao culture. Ca. 2300-2000 BC. Geometric decorations in black and purple. Fine condition with no repairs. There are some tiny chips missing from the rim but hardly disturbing. Height 11cm, diameter 14cm. There are root traces visible, especially on the bottom inside. These are good proof that it is an original. For comparison: He Li, Chinese Ceramics, p.60 nr.9
