A sturdy cast-iron pot with an inscription on it, including a Daoguang period mark reading 15th year (1835), ninth month. This type of cast-iron work is typical for Shanxi province and was mainly made for use in temples. Height 31 cm, diameter 25 cm. Condition: superficial oxidation with good patina from use. Handles and ears show excellent signs of wear. No cracks or repairs.
